What is the resistance on Canon's side of making this data available to the OWNER of the device? My car has an odometer, and it doesn't rewind when I drive backwards.why wouldn't a shutter count be easy to obtain? How does it affect Canon? It suggests there's something to hide in the compiled data. I've seen these kinds of threads for years. The "eosmsg" support 5d4 5ds/5dsr 1dx2 750d 760d 1300d 80d etc, but it's not free. I used this program in December and it worked: My information comes direct from the EOSCount author: I’ve used the app for 5d mkiv, 80d and sl2. I’ve seen it mentioned that there is a ShutterCount for Windows but I know nothing about it. If you have an iPhone or iPad, ShutterCount App will work on a 5d MKIV. Folks on mac claim that the mac version of eoscount can still get the count. AFAIK, it's not possible to do this any longer. I believe Canon has removed the ability to get this information from its latest SDK, which is the only version that supports newer models. I don't see anything indicating it supports mk iv Tried eoscount but it doesn't work for the MK IV on windows. how can i get shuttercount of 5d MK IV from windows pc?.
